I was born in the periphery of Naples in 1992 from a family of merchants. At the time, being a successful business family meant having to pay high fees to local criminal organisations; I am very proud to remember that my family never gave in on such menaces, despite repeated house bombings and life threats.
My early years were shaped by the values of justice, loyalty and community; Later on, inspired by my mother who is a pharmacist and father, a physician, i went on to study medicine and received my MD with highest grades (summa cum laude) from the University of Naples in 2016.
During medical studies i became very interested in consciousness and neuroscience which eventually led me to work at the Psychedelic Research Group based at Imperial College London. Wishing to further my clinical training i took resident positions in Psychiatry at Geneva University Hospital and later in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at major university hospitals in Milan.
In 2021 I decided to leave specialty training to pursue my ambition to create safe access to psychedelic therapies and build holistic models of health care.
I have a strong nature of seeker, have been travelling the world since my early 20s looking for teachers, practices and diverse views of the world. My foundational practices are Vipassana Meditation, as taught by SN Goenka, Qi Gong which i have been studying from various Buddhist Shaolin masters and Hatha Yoga.
In my spare time i enjoy trail running, surfing, brazilian jiu-jitsu and playing guitar.
